20X 3D Laser Scanner

|

Scan 3D is an integrated laser scanning system that utilizes the latest
advanced German optical measurement and numerical control positioning
technology and components. Scan 3D can rapidly capture the 3D geometric
shape data of a sample, e.g. scanning a spectacle in 1 minutes. User
can make use of the captured data for direct copymill with a CNC
milling machine or direct Rapid Prototype fabrication with an RP
machine, no 3D modeling work required. The captured data can also
assist product redesign and 3D modeling for production tooling

No compensation required |
7 |
Detail Level |
Limit by radius of sensor. Difficult to measure detail shape |
Capable of measuring high detail shape by using laser beam |
8 |
Deep Cavity & Slot |
Using longer sensor probe can measure deep cavity and slot |
Limit by the laser reflection angle to measure deep cavity and slot |
9 |
Plaster Support |
Need plaster support to fix sample for digitizing |
No support is required and allow free positioning for scanning |

Copymill |
Support
direct copymill. Cutting tool should be the same diameter as the
sensing probe and the cutting step over should be the same as sensing
step. As a result , milling efficiency is low |
Support
direct copymill. Can use CAD/CAM software to generate rough,
semi-finishing and finishing toolpath directly from scanned STL model
to yield high machining efficiency |
